Smoke Alarms

The sensor is linked to the community alarm base unit and sends a radio signal to trigger a call to the care centre in case of smoke.  Smoke detectors are essential pieces of equipment in all households, but these sensors have the added benefit of alerting someone else when there is potential danger. They are therefore particularly important for those who would have difficulty evacuating their property in the event of a fire, such as those with impaired mobility, capacity, hearing or sight.  For use in kitchens, where a conventional smoke detector would raise too many false alarms, a sensor can be installed which detects the rapid rise in temperature associated with a fire.
